Once Upon a Time in Mildenhall

East Anglia. 1980s. A local 3-piece rock combo find themselves on the bill with some major American acts at one of the huge US Airbases in Suffolk - an area with a large American community at that time. After being cleared by US security, they drive onto the base in their ex-electricity board transit van. They play their warm-up set as usual - unaware of whom they are sharing the stage with. Ignorance is bliss and the girl singing with the band is overwhelmed with offers and attention from the GIs. But even when she's told that some of the singers on the bill with her are world stars - she's unimpressed.
