Zemlyaki (2014)

Andrey Tarkovsky was born, where the Volga River starts flowing to the South of Euroasia continent. Animation filmmaker Yiriy Norshtein grown up in a village on the outskirts of the endless Moscow-Samara highway. Childhood of Gennadiy Shpalikov, film writer and poet, was spent in the northern landscapes of Karelia with its endless lakes. Pavel Mirzoev and his crew are traveling around those places, meeting with young people, who lives there and showing them works of their famous fellow countrymen. This is a group portrait of a young generation, based on their sincerity and an inescapable of their situation.
