In 2013, a writer named Schwalter Scott met an indie filmmaker named Gerry Gibson in a local bar. After some light banter, Schwalter asked Gerry to adapt his book, a tome about the lives of the Worcestershires, a wealthy and powerful family. The book was called The Bold and the Spicy. Gerry found the book to be so ridiculous that it could only be viewed as a comedy. So that's what he filmed. Infuriated with what he saw as mockery of those he loved, Schwalter sued Gerry...and won. The judge ordered that Gerry apologize to Schwalter and to document the occasion, Schwalter hired a local film crew to film the story and the ensuing apology. Hence, you have the mockumentary, The Bold and the Spicy: An Apology
