The film, all but unknown to scholars and film historians, has been found in the Heath Library at Helversheim University, where it was found in a battered tin simply labelled "NEPENTHE". Discovered by G.A. Engel, Professor Emeritus of Media Arts and Film History, the film is an adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft's short story "The Outsider". Restoration and research as to the origins of the film has been put on hold due to Engel's unfortunate death shortly after his discovery. Physicians were unable to find any visible disorder, but concluded after perplexed debate that some obscure lesion of the heart was responsible for the end.
