An old man is chained to a wall in an empty, bare cell. The only joy in his life is listening to a mysterious, ticking sound from outside and imagining what it could be. His imagination comes to life in the form of beautiful sketches that animate under his eyes. Countless variations of his fantasy and countless different characters that keep him company.
