Fat Lamb (2016)

Jesus Lives! (in his half-brother's garage). Fat Lamb is a comedy that asks the question what if instead of ascending to heaven in a blaze of glory Jesus just sorta...stuck around? Now Jesus, heavier, more gray in his beard, suffering from the complications of his crucifixion injuries and dealing with an old arrest record he can't expunge, tries to pick up the pieces in modern day. His disapproving half-brother James, who moved on from all this savior talk years ago, is letting him crash in the garage with Mary Magdalene, who may or may not have a bit of a drug problem. His disciples have left and a decidedly less miraculous group of misfits are training with Jesus in James' backyard. As the world spins forward, Jesus is left with a question every old revolutionary faces at some point. What do you do when the cause has moved on without you?
