In the span of seventy-two hours, Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani, affectionately called "Modi" by his friends, navigates the chaos of war-torn Paris in 1916. Fleeing from the police and grappling with the urge to abandon his career and leave the city, he finds little support from his fellow bohemian artists. Turning to his art dealer and friend, Leopold Zborowski, Modi's turmoil escalates after a night of vivid hallucinations.
