Jalil Nazari, the Afghan refugee who played the lead in Djomeh, 2001 Cannes best first film winner, learns firsthand about the pitfalls of accidental celebrity after a trip to the Hamburg Film Festival-his first time to the West-turns into a nightmare: His travel visa won't get him back into Iran, his festival "hosts" suddenly act as though they'd never heard of him, and he winds up in a prison-like holding camp in Germany, once again reduced to refugee status.
