Hiroyuki Kawai is a high-profile attorney-at-law who has been actively voicing the absurdity and danger of Japanese nuclear power for over 20 years, having fought in many legal battles to suspend nuclear plants in Japan. Ever since the disastrous accident at Fukushima No.1 nuclear power plant in 2011, his fight has been fueled by even more drive and dedication. However, contrary to his passion, the interest of Japanese citizens continued to fade due to the complexity of the issue and biased media coordinated by the government. Then Kawai had an idea -- he needs to make a movie. He can communicate the true absurdity and inhumanity of the nuclear power with the public only by illustrating them visually and objectively. Along with the heartbreaking interviews with people who were forced to leave their hometown by the nuclear accident, and spine-chilling interviews with scholars in nuclear engineering, environmentology and radiology, the film documents the injunctions against nuclear plants that Kawai and other anti-nuclear power lawyers won in the courts, as well as mandatory indictment against former executives at Tokyo Electronic. This film is the ultimate nuclear power documentary film that only an attorney could make, that demonstrates everything there is to know about the nuclear power issues in Japan.
