Call This Number (2014)

A murder happens. What follows is typically a focus on who's to blame, and debating the events, rather than on the victims themselves. "Call This Number" honors those survivors who are left behind to deal with the tragedy itself and the whirlwind of bureaucracy and red tape. Based on the real stories of more than 40 family members of murder victims, it weaves together their experiences, from notification of the murder to sentencing and (lack of) closure, into 9 composite characters. The stories in "Call this Number" are real.
