At Work with Stephan Haimerl (2018)

"At work with Stephan Haimerl" follows the life and work of the fine artist Stephan Haimerl. Between family life and three jobs and his work in his studio he talks with his friend and college Tibor Baumann about different themes of work, life, the question of becoming an artist and the big dreams. Besides him people from economy, other artists, culture workers and craftsmen and a professor of fine arts discuss art and the question of work between vocation and the enforcement to earn money. Over the runtime we follow one specific painting - and failing it. In the end, Stephan and his family moving from Nürnberg to Leipzig, to find new opportunities and come to the conclusion within the answer to the question, what is the urge to work as an artist: the iron will to work.
