Rocked (2016)

On a roadtrip to the San Andreas fault to present a new state of the art seismometer at a conference, Scientist Teresa Hernandez, her impatient husband Francisco, her devoutly Catholic mother Abuelita, and her three children find themselves divided on issues of faith and science. When an earthquake occurs and Teresa's prized seismometer is destroyed, the family learns, while attending mass, just how much more valuable family is than objects.
