Think Siskel & Ebert but instead of movies, they're "reviewing" the absolute lowest common denominator content on the internet. The twist is, they are doing this with ZERO snark - something like the old Colbert Report's commitment to character. This isn't "Ridiculousness" or "Tosh.0" who mock the stupid things they found online. These are mock-serious meme lovers giving viral content mock-serious consideration. This demo episode shows the concept: Host Tony Zaret and another "meme expert" tell people what to share on their personal social media feeds. There is an unlimited amount of this silly content floating around the internet and we've all stared at it for a half-second when some passing acquaintance shares it. It's high time a show treats these memes (some of them truly, head-scratching-ly stupid) with the respect they don't deserve. And that show is "The Meme Team."
