Em busca de Pilão Arcado (2014)

The road, the wind, the time, the river and the meeting with the town of Pilao Arcado. Searching for a flooded town, we found struggle, resistance, memories, music and faith. Pilão Arcado was one of five towns (along with Remanso, Casa Nova, Sento Sé and Sobradinho) flooded due to dam construction Sobradinho between 1973 and 1979. Only Pilão Arcado, now called Old Pilão Arcado, was not completely flooded. It survives, islanded, in the São Francisco River.
