Shadow in the Shade (2016)

A young black couple with a four-year-old son discover their differing opinions on the existence of racism in America today. Unable to convince his wife that the U.S. is not a post-racial society, the argument turns violent and the father is promised that he will never see his child again. To share with his child the truth that his mother won't allow him to hear, he writes a letter for his son to find when he is old enough to understand what it means to be black in America.
