O moyom druge (1959)

Summer of 1941. Aram, Ruben and Gohar finish the Leningrad Academy of Arts. Gohar is in love with expansive, tempered and self-assured Ruben who takes it for granted. He immediately forgets Gohar when meets another girl - a student at the Medical Institute Katia. He is sure that Katia reciprocates his love and does not notice that she gets more and more attached to the soft, poetic Aram. When Ruben finally learns that Katia and Aram love one another, he breaks friendship with Aram. Start of World War II puts heroes to difficult test. During a brief trip to the Leningrad front, Aram finds their house in ruins. On the way back he stops a passing truck and in the driver he recognizes Ruben. Ruben who still did not forgive other two, stops the car disembarking Aram. chafing it with the machine. The truck falls under the bombardment and Ruben is injured. Aram saves him, but receives a mortal wound. In the hospital Ruben finds Katia and tells her about Aram's great love for her.
