Mourning Cloak (2015)

Just recently losing his child, Michael a 30-year-old, science teacher struggles with his wife, Sophie who is in a coma. He reads Sophie's journal to her, hoping that she will wake up. As Michael reads the journal, the audience enters Sophie's imaginative world where we learn why she ended up in a coma. Inspired by the journal, Michael's perspective of the world changes as he continues on with his every day routine. He believes that this change in him may wake up Sophie but sadly she passes away. A few days after the death of his wife, Michael starts his own journal where he enters his own imaginative world where Sophie and his child is waiting for him.
