Henry Oliver Rinnan, May 14, 1915 - February 1, 1947, became the Gestapo's worst agent and henchmen in Norway since the Germans occupied the country in 1940. He was nicknamed "The Devil of Trondheim". Rinnan was the leader of a group called Sonderabteilung Lola. The members of the group, about 50 people, infiltrated the Norwegian resistance movement and the British Special Operations Executive. After Germany's capitulation in May 1945, Rinnan and his followers tried to escape into Sweden, but were caught. Rinnan was brought to justice to account for 13 murders, aiding a hundred other murders and involvement in a thousand Norwegians imprisonment. Rinnan was executed by firing squad.
