Legacy Warnings! (2015)

An emotional documentary about Demand, Resistance, Chances and Challenges when fighting for an electrified African continent. Warnings regarding the radioactive Legacy are not heard by those making nuclear agreements. Estimates are that already 2,5 million people in South Africa are affected by the negative impacts of the uraniferous tailings dams. Birth rates of kids with mental and physical disabilities are shockingly high, the industry escapes its responsibilities. But still, government plans for the future are investments in new nuclear power stations no matter what the legacy looks like. If the government in South Africa full fills their plans, other countries on the continent will follow the lead. But there is a growing resistance on the continent raising their voice against nuclear power and uranium mining- the fuel of nuclear energy.
