Madison Lee (Madi), young black girl, 12, loves the game of tennis. She recalls hearing family stories of blacks not being able to play tennis in certain places due to race which has influenced low confidence in herself & her ability to play in 2016. Her 1950's self is advised by her mother that she wasn't born the "right color" to compete with the professionals nor can she play on a professional tennis court. Madi is born into fear and rules that restrict her dreams. These inherited rules have diminished her confidence based on skin 1950's is skincolor and her challenge in 2016 is herself. Little girl was born to life that landed her in a space of fear and no confidence which is out of bounds to pursue her dream of being a tennis player.
