'Silence Equals' is an award winning experimental LGBTQ images events past of the past, future and present blended into a tapestry of site and sound following the lives of several characters in the West Village of New York: A drug addicted teen, a homeless mentally ill vet, two social workers and two gay lovers along with several community members around them. Their experiences transpire organically without a standard plot driven narrative. Visually overlays of happenings from times before and after the more featured scene or moment highlight the complexity and true disarray of people's lives. Circumstances surrounding LGBTQ people in society today told in artistic experimental footage that is both complex and detailed. The Alternative version, 'The story of what happened to Frances Angel Gumm', is the directors 2018 plot driven version focusing on Frances Angel Gumm's story from the original experimental work 'Silence Equals.'
