While researching the Mexican holiday Dia De Lo Muertos, atheist anthropologist Angela Murillo finds herself face to face with her future husband Camilo, a Latin American soccer player who believes in soulmates and the afterlife. When tragedy rips Camilo from this world, Angela desperately adopts his belief in life after death and sets in motion a plan to guide his spirit home from the grave. However, the light shines brightest in the darkness, and a journey through grief, culture, and superstition, exposes a deceit which is no match for the way, the truth, and the life.
