Jeffrey's Turn

Seventeen-year-old JR Sylliboy lives on the Black Bear First Nations with his widowed, environmentalist mother, Anna. He is summoned upon by the brother of his late father, his recently-released-from-prison uncle, Arty, who has now been incarcerated in the state of Maine, as a result of an altercation with some locals. Once united, the pair venture on a summer road trip, to the State of Maine, which takes them on an unforgettable journey. Misfortune, corruption, deception and violence seem to greet them at every turn, until they finally make their way... to Jeffrey's Turn.
