Too Many Goodbyes (2017)

Lucy Mulcahy has been made homeless and stays with her old college friend, Jim Smith after she meets him outside the soup kitchen. When they are in his living room, Jim turns off the radio when the news reader announces that another homeless person has been murdered - bringing the total to 6 in as many months. The next day, detectives Brenda Maher and David Fox call round to ask some routine questions. When they leave, Lucy wonders if Jim is a suspect. He tells her he's not, but she's not convinced. Later, in the police station, Brenda discovers the identity of the killer. She calls Jim Smith's house and warns the listener their life is in danger. But both Jim and Lucy are on the other end of the line. We don't know who she's talking to. Brenda races to the house and confronts the killer in a darkened hallway.
