The 1930s was a time of immense drought for rural Saskatchewan. The decade-long dry spell would become known us as the Dust Bowl. Unfortunately, this is the circumstance we find Paul, Ellen, and their newborn baby. In the midst of an intense dust storm cooped up in their small farmhouse, the pair is forced to confront their conflicting desires surrounding one question - whether or not they should abandon their farm. When the storm begins to settle Paul is faced with the answer. He realizes he cannot salvage his land, nor his family.
