The plot revolves around the rural and urban backdrops of Assam in India, where the legendary author-scholar Principal Bhabananda Deka was born and brought up, and spent major part of his active live. The film highlights his pioneer works in the fields of Assam economy research as well as its heritage, cultural, literary and social aspects. Overall, the film documents the rich intellectual, cultural and social legacy created and left behind by the legendary scholar in the second half of twentieth century in Assam and northeastern part of India.
