Coal Hearts (2017)

This is the story of a man named Horacio who is crossing the U.S.-Mexican border and trying desperately to survive the Texas landscape. Horacio is trying to reunite with his family in the United States, however at the last stretch of his journey he is spotted unintentionally trespassing by Mr. Woodley, a man who despises immigrants. Mr. Woodley alerts the property owner, Ester, who is a young woman that has just recently inherited the land. Now aware of Horacio's presence, Ester tries to catch him before he escapes. Will their confrontation result in Horacio's safe passage or will he have risked his life for nothing?
