Blood Hero is a short film (20 minutes long) about an African American soldier, Mickey Boudreaux, who returns from the Vietnam War in 1973, after serving two tours of duty. He finds himself being haunted by both the inhumane dealings of what the war caused in Vietnam and the social and economic injustice of life for African Americans in Southern Louisiana. (Opelousas, Louisiana). His wife, Charlotte "Lottie" Boudreaux, has decided to host a rent party in hopes to aid in obtaining money to pay bills for the month, however, this event turns deadly when Mickey is unable to fight away the psychological effects of PTSD.
