April 2nd, 2005: Pope John Paul II has just died, and Ava, a sixteen year old catholic schoolgirl, is still a virgin. After meeting a charming but sleazy guy, and being taunted by her best friend's own deflowering, Ava is forced to decided whether or not her own virginity is a cross she wants to continue to bear.
