God Is Busy Somewhere Else (2018)

"God Is Busy Somewhere Else" is a period piece that tells the true-life story of Michele, a young Italian soldier fighting in WWII on the Russian front. One night, as his platoon gets lost in a cold, Russian forest and his hopes of surviving get slimmer, he has a heart-warming, soul-filling conversation with his comrade Giancarlo, who suggests that they drink vodka together. Michele's life is forever changed upon realizing the morning after that he's the only survivor to a Russian attack perpetrated overnight.
