Bert is living a miserable life as a children's TV presenter. Despite being happy for the cameras, as he has done since he was a child actor, he wants nothing to do with the business. He was pushed into the lifestyle by his mother, who still continues to push Bert around, stealing his confidence, money and making him disbelieve in himself.
