Soldier's Joy (2018)

While at a political rally, a young woman, Nellie Morgan discovers her cruel husband's plans to try and assassinate a man running for president. She makes a crucial decision that catapults her life into complete uncertainty. Meanwhile, she is forced to watch as the only man she has ever loved, Cody Kincaid, enlist in the Union Army and march off to war. Against all odds, this film follows Nellie and Cody through events and circumstances that conspire to keep them apart. War, politics, slavery, witchcraft, religion and the occult, all play a pivotal role in what happens to this couple.
