Milan, November 1906. The famous medium Eusapia Palladino is a guest at the Milanese Psychological Studies Society. A journalist of the Corriere della Sera, Luigi Barzini, is assigned to attend some sessions of the woman to verify her skills or, possibly, to unmask her. Indeed, that was still a period in which séances were very fashionable in the salons of the Italian and foreign bourgeoisie. Luigi, initially skeptical, eventually began to believe in the impossible, thanks also to the meeting with some scientists of the time, such as Cesare Lombroso and Giorgio Finzi.
