Ashes of Time (2017)

A young country cowboy Lee who is controlled by his father after dad and mom got divorced when he was a child. He is not allowed to leave his hometown since he was a child, and he is not allowed to go to Los Angeles because her mother is from Los Angeles. Before his father died with cancer, he is finally allowed to leave his hometown by dad and gives him a letter to go to LA to find an old friend of father. Father wants to transfer control to his gangster friend who are live in LA. He takes the letter and set off a journey to solve the spiritual plight with his dumb girlfriend who grows up together.
