On the Beach (2018)

VICTOR is a workaholic who has given up his family vacation causing friction with his wife. He is in a meeting when news breaks that North Korea is attacking the United States, and a nuclear missile is headed toward them. Faced with imminent death, people in the office drop their facades and show who they truly are. The office mother shows her nasty side, the joker admits to his alcoholism, the cool girl admits that she's no different than anyone else, and the assistant learns to stand up for himself. Victor learns too late the value of his family that he has forsaken, and decides in his last moments to give his family his time. Who are we really when faced with a crisis? Are the things we think are important truly what matter in life?
