In 1960 (7 years old) while vacationing with Family at Lake Tahoe a lawyer friend of my Dad from Reno picked us up and took us to Dayton. My dad talked his way onto the Rodeo Set of The Misfits. My older brother and myself, mom were allowed to wonder about as long as we didn't get in the way of the crew. My dad found a ladder and started shooting stills. He caught Monroe and Eli Wallach in the bleacher scenes. I remember they put Monty on a sawhorse to shoot him tight as if he was riding a bronco. Dad gave my mom his Argus 35mm camera and she approached Gable and he had to steady her shoulder as she was shaking so much. Houston was loud and scary sounding as they used the Rodeo Grounds PA system for him to scream out his direction. And of course most know about the runaway bull story. We ate off the catering truck in front of the Dayton Bar. MM's double was getting much attention as the crowd thought it was her. My mom recalls Marilyn was late and everyone was waiting for her all day. As we know she was sick and had to be airlifted to a Reno Hospital. This Documentary film is my own account of The Return to The Misfits - A true tale of a young Buckeroo.
