Four travelers in a car stop when a man's body falls into the road ahead of them. The two men get out to investigate. The fallen man pulls a gun on them while another man comes out to get the women.
Two other men come to the rescue of the travelers by shooting one of the attackers. They approach the car, which has been crashed into a tree. They seem to be vigilantes. The second attacker, having been caught, is strung up from a tree with a rope around his neck. He scream out "no!"
A man accused of witchcraft is beheaded and his wife burned. Before dying they both curse everyone involved, saying they will return for vengeance one day in the future.
After digging up a buried trunk which they are unable to open, one man places the trunk on an altar. He and another man are threatened by the caretaker. During the struggle one man takes out a sickle and attacks the caretaker with it (mostly shown in silhouette). The second man is also killed the same way after complaining. His scream is heard. Some blood is seen on the sickle.
Two men in a boat dump a dead body wrapped and tied up into the river.
One woman who is drying dishes is attacked by the man with the sickle. She screams as he brings it down on her. Next she is shown having been thrown laterally over a table: legs on one side and hair hanging down on the other.
A man is discussing their problems with another man and woman. Blaming the main character, he strikes out and slaps him. The woman intercedes, telling them that this is a time to support each other, not blame.
A woman preparing food in a kitchen is surprised by the entrance of one of the main characters (now under control of the warlock). He approaches and knocks her out. Next he is seen carrying her body and following the scantily-clad woman through an underground tunnel.
The severed head of the warlock speaks from the small trunk to those he is controlling. The unconscious girl comes to and begins looking around. When she sees the head, she screams.
The head tells his men to recover his body which is entombed beside the altar. Breaking down the walls, they remove a coffin and open it. It contains the body. Next the head is lifted and restored to the body.
In order to restore the bones of the dead woman, the sacrifice of a live woman is placed in the coffin with the bones. The warlock takes the sickle and makes an incision on the chest of the sacrifice, who calls out in pain. Next he gets into the coffin and covers them with his black cape. Then both the warlock and his woman are seen fully resurrected. One man is coerced to kill the other man using the sickle.
One woman tells the main character there is a family talisman in the old well. They go and get it. He tells her to wear it for protection. When the warlock appears in her bedroom, he approaches and pulls back the covers from her to reveal the talisman. Just like a crucifix, he is repelled by it and disappears in a cloud of smoke.
The saved girl, now with the main character sitting beside her bed, hears her father's voice loudly calling to her. She runs to the front door, crying "father." The main character tries to discourage her from opening the door. When the door is open, zombies enter (consisting of some of the dead people). Shooting one with a double-barreled shotgun is to no avail.
The main character fights off zombies using a lit torch. Once outside, he throws an old lamp down, exposing the oil on the ground, which he sets fire. Adding old pieces of wooden furniture, he builds a big fire which keeps them away. One zombie is seen is a full-burn-shot.
A man says two other men killed a family to rob them. He says that parents and 4 children were killed, of which the youngest was just a few months old.
