A major theme and a lot of dialog concerns what place males and their penises are to have in the then-newly dawning (1976) era of feminism.
There are numerous short sex scenes with nudity ranging from partial to full frontal for both man and woman, and with varying amounts of thrusting. In a couple of sex scenes a baby boy is present, awake and facing the couple. In one scene the baby is sitting between the nude couple while they touch each other. The man kisses the woman's groin and pats her there and the baby imitates him; any contact is obscured by leg placement and darkness. In another scene, the woman undresses, we see her pubic hair before she presses her groin against the man's face (contact hidden by her hip) while the baby sits nearby.
A man sticks two fingers inside a specialty condom (French tickler) and we see a woman take it in her mouth.
In several scenes a man kisses, partially undresses, or fondles various women in ways that appear unwelcome.
On two occasions, one seen at a distance and one seen close-up, a man discussing penises visibly flips or pokes the unclothed baby's genitals with his hand in front of a woman sitting a few feet away.
Besides the sex scenes, the male lead is often seen fully nude in casual activities such as bathing or just wandering around the apartment. The female lead is seen nude less often, and then usually with topless or rear nudity. The baby is seen unclothed in the bath, being changed, or at play.
There is conversation related to "screwing around" with multiple women, "coming", "getting hard", and "jerking off".
