Residents of the village of Usvyaty dreamed of close happy days: who hoped that tomorrow they would hang up the radio and fussed about a pole near their house; who looked at the ground and thought about tomorrow's harvest; somewhere they were waiting for the birth of a third child. But the war came and the men left to defend their land.
