The Tyrant's Heart (1981)

Set in 15th century Hungary, a young prince returns from Italy to find that, like Hamlet, his father, the king, is dead, and that his uncle has married his mother. Various versions of what happened are full of political ingenue and contradictions, and then it is revealed that everyone involved is an actor.
