The Karate Kid (1984)

Daniel LaRusso, a teenager who moves from New Jersey to California, finds himself being targeted by a group of bullies. Under Mr. Miyagi's guidance, he learns not only karate but also the values of discipline, respect, and inner strength. Daniel becomes attracted to Ali Mills, a girl who happens to be the ex-girlfriend of the leader of the bullies, Johnny Lawrence, who knows karate too. The movie touches on themes of friendship, mentorship, bullying, and the importance of perseverance.
