What's Love Got to Do with It (1993)

The story chronicles the life of Tina Turner, with special emphasis on her relationship with musician Ike Turner with whom she achieves stardom in the music world. However, their marriage is marked by domestic violence and anguish. Even so, Tina finds the courage to overcome. A heart-wrenching biographical musical based on the singer's autobiography, with excellent Oscar-nominated performances by Angela Bassett and Laurence Fishburne. Ideal if you like biopics.
