The Pupil (1996)

Penniless graduate Julien lands a job as personal tutor. His pupil is Morgan, a precocious, cynical little boy with a heart condition, whose family live in a large country house, attended by servants. The whole clan exude culture, charm and wealth, but Morgan, disillusioned beyond his years, seems to enjoy making scathing comments at their expense. As time goes by, Julien and his charge become attached to each other, but in time the family's true nature also reveals itself.
