The Wretched and the Rich (1970)

Fed up with his philandering thirty-something son, Alexis, and his reluctance to finally settle down, the affluent industrialist, Vasilis Vranas, concocts a daring plan with the help of his equally successful businessman friend, Gerasimos Karanikas. As a result, now Alexis is to marry Gerasimos' statuesque daughter, Anna, whom she has never met; but, he, too, has a clever scheme. Before long, Alexis swaps places with his impecunious chauffeur, Nodas, unbeknownst to him, however, that Anna is already posing as her live-in housemaid, Maria. Their plan aims to help both Alexis and Anna make up their minds. Do opposites attract?
