Outwardly, the life of director Anne Louise is like a dance on roses. Inwardly, however, it is more desert than flower garden, as her husband treats her like an indifferent ornament. Disillusioned, she takes a break from it all in their cottage. One day a young, exhausted man knocks on the door.
