Paying the Limit (1924)

In an effort to reform, Raffles obtains a job as maid in the household of the wealthy Lowden family after her release from jail. There she learns that a former accomplice is luring her employer's daughter, Joan, into marriage for her money, but she knows that alarming her employer would expose her own background. Raffles is accused when the daughter steals from her father at the lover's bidding. However, Raffles clears herself, wins the respect of her employer, and marries the foreman, Tom Dover, with whom she had been in love before she went to prison.
