La petite marchande d'allumettes (1928)

On a bitterly cold New Year's Eve, a young girl stands alone, trying to sell matchsticks to indifferent passersby. Ignored by all but a fleeting stranger in a warm restaurant, she’s left shivering in the cold. Desperate and freezing, she strikes a match for warmth, sparking vivid hallucinations. Suddenly, she's pulled into a whimsical toyland where she and the mysterious stranger are hunted by a menacing pirate figure.
