Downhill (1927)

Roddy Berwick, a privileged school captain, takes the fall for a crime committed by his friend Tim, who needs to protect his scholarship. After falsely accused of a scandalous act, Roddy is expelled and disowned by his wealthy family. With his life unraveling, he moves to Paris and spirals into poverty, working as a dancer and becoming a victim of alcoholism. With nothing left to lose, Roddy goes on a journey to reclaim his lost honor.
