Lucille Dejean indulges her passion for dancing contrary to the wishes of her husband, and while she devotes her time to practice with Claude, her dancing partner, he seeks consolation with a pretty actress living next door. Hearing of Dejean's flirtation, Lucille angrily decides to pay him out by forcing the unwilling Claude, who is interested in her only for professional reasons, to pose as her lover. A complete break between husband and wife is the result. To seek forgetfulness, Dejean embarks on a cruise to Egypt and is astonished to find Lucille on the ship in the company (so she states) of Claude. During the voyage, Dejean and Lucille renew their broken romance and leave the ship together at Naples. Returning home, Lucille confesses that Claude was not a passenger on the ship, and that he was, in fact, never more than her dancing partner. A full reconciliation follows.
