The Substitute Wife (1925)

On his wedding night, Lawrence Sinton is accidentally blinded. His wife, Evelyn, who is in love with Dr. Kitchell, discovers that Hilda Nevers, a nurse, has a voice identical to her own. Dr. Kitchell and Evelyn abandon Lawrence but hire Hilda to substitute as his wife. She falls in love with Lawrence, and when his sight is restored by surgery, he divorces Evelyn and marries Hilda.
